With more and more exacting requirement for environment protection, VOC content in coatings and inks is the top issue which coatings and inks manufacturing companies have to be in the face of. VOC comes from a great deal of dosage of organic solvent in formulation of coatings and inks. The solution is to reduce usage of organic solvent in the formulations and make coatings and inks of high solid content to reduce VOC letting. However, reducing dosage of organic solvent in formulation will increase system viscosity dramatically. Using Polymeric Hyperdispersant will be able to solve this contradiction. Hyperdispersant has the property of not only increasing pigments loading but also retaining required rheology. Therefore, it leads to less possible dosage of organic solvent in coatings and inks to reduce VOC emissions.
